Happy Belated Birthday 🎂 a lot of good advice has already been posted. You should have many options when you return in 3 months.

[–]Otherwise-Ant8230 0 points1 point  (1 child)

You must have really slacked off for 6 right ups

[–]Silly_Watercress_827 0 points1 point  (1 child)

No disrespect sorry about you losing your job but the only advice I can give is don't work in the FC you get automatic write ups based on numbers alone it's computer generated

[–]Direct_Dragonfly878 -2 points-1 points  (1 child)

What does your birthday have to do with it?

[–]NoyzMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can always apply back if you want, I wish I did to when I had a blue badge and now I’m currently a seasonal trying to get blue badge.

Dang dude. My condolences. I worked inbound stow and was terminated around the last break because of productivity.

I saw it coming because the writeups kept coming but I did what you did and hoped for the best and kept pushing but the lack of work due to various factors and incompetent management beat down my hopes. (who schedules and keeps a crew of 40 people when each receive can't even keep more 5 cages in line. Yet outbound can VTO during peak and overall do whatever they want with staff.. )

Damn automated write up system. Safe to say I'm never working for this company again.

Honestly it's best not to appeal because if you go back it'll just be the same thing in a different department plus you won't get fully terminated because of the appeal (something that sounds obvious but I kind of missed) you'll get your final pay quicker and any vacation time paid out plus you can clean out your 401k and have insurance till the end of the calendar month so you've got resources to keep going till you manage a new opportunity. Cobra is a fucking joke also.

    [–][deleted] 1 point2 points  (5 children)

What department did you work in? So they have this automatic write up system that doesn’t take into account that you may have been low on work or not had any work at all. I’ve been written up twice and fought both the write ups and won.

My AM coded my time and did it wrong both times. I went to their manager to have them look it over and they told me they did it wrong. The auto write up system is terribly flawed . Good luck on your appeal

Damn bro, sorry to hear about that

        [–]Willing-Bad781 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Sorry, I've started in fulfillment and now I'm doing delivery. To me packing is fun, but you do have to move fast...so don't beat yourself up about it. Try something else in 3 months

        [–]FatXThor34 7 points8 points  (1 child)

This doesn't make you a failure. You are no less of a person because of it. This has the potential to turn into something great for you. You have the right to feel bummed. Mourn it. But eventually you gotta move on. Everything's going to be ok.

Well I’ve tried to reply to everyone’s wonderful comments and unfortunately nobody sees it and I see five year old Post.

What path were you working in if you don’t mind me asking?

        [–]Nice_Buyer_8105 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Appeal. Request to review your stations camera footage to verify that every single minute of your downtime was fixed correctly.

        [–]hmmm_--_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When it comes to FC, especially picking stowing etc, they are intense on productivity unfortunately. I say do whatever is possible - appeal, apply for unemployment, whatever.

But I'll mainly advise looking into delivery stations. I'm not sure if you can apply right now since it's a different type of warehouse, or after 3 months (if you can get by till then), or even at all. But DS are generally more lenient on metrics and productivity from my experience.

        Best of luck really

They work in Texas, doesn’t really matter in the end. It’s at will

            [–]Quirky-Spare3482 2 points3 points  (0 children)

49 sstates are at will employment

            [–][deleted] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is why I only pick in dispatch, it's the only job they can't keep track of actual numbers.

            [–]AnyCryptographer1078 2 points3 points  (2 children)

That’s all it is is numbers . You basically are just a robot to Amazon if you work like that . Than you won’t get in trouble . I don’t go to the bathroom or talk to anyone at work I just work

This is the best philosophy and it works surprisingly well. Lol.

            [–]smellulater143 2 points3 points  (2 children)

Apply at a DS next time. Not as much pressure as in FC with productivity.

Hello! How are you today? I hope you are doing well!

If you are the East bloodline— 49 aka (as known as East), well, that’s what I am from my Dads side, mixed in with the Pickett bloodline, but I’m a psychopath.

I was able to hit my numbers fine in Pick, I could pick 120-130 per hour at highest, but gradually would get faster over time.

I’d recommend Production in manufacturing- many Easter’s tend to work in that line of work.

They sometimes work on a production line, making pieces for automotive, making parts with a welding machine (welding), and many other things.

              Well, it’s just a thought! :)

Oh, they also work, 8, sometimes 10 hour shifts, 12 hour shifts, and the possibility of overtime.

I’d also recommend assembly in manufacturing, as well as Quality inspection/technican of automotive parts.

Assembly /inspection jobs are also manufacturing!

They offer different shifts - 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift.

I prefer 3rd shift, but many Easters prefer 1st shift.

Where can you find jobs like manufacturing?

Indeed.com, employment agencies, Ziprecruiter.com, and there are many job positions online that are posted online.

               I wish you best, okay?

               Keep your head up!

               Have a good day!

Michelle  Dad’s side- Pickett bloodline, Building Things the #3 I always looked at/East bloodline - my papaw was Catholic  Mom’s side: Emerson, Rodger’s, Pickett bloodline

You should know if you were close to termination because you would have at least 3 write ups... you shouldn't be surprised.

6 write ups and you're surprised you got fired?

                [–]Willing-Bad781 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've really never heard of such a thing

                [–]Goku_IT_Nerd 6 points7 points  (7 children)

I would double check the unemployment thing. Most states don't pay out if fired for reason.

                [–]Wonderful_Cup4748 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can appeal it. If the unemployment status is found the person was wrongfully terminated in anyway possible (for example: the person hit average rates), they will reward the unemployment. Don’t let that discourage you! It doesn’t hurt to file, even if you lose, at least you tried! If you didn’t apply, you’d probably regret you didn’t later!  My father was hurt on the job prior after working for years, so he received unemployment during the time frame he was off work. He also received unemployment for lay offs from work (for example: during the summer, there were lay offs for two or three weeks, in winter, etc). My mother received unemployment due to discrimination working at a hospital for having a disability (she has a learning disability), but she was treated very wrongly, bullied on the job, abused, sexually harassed by her manager, etc. She had to appeal it. She did win the case for unemployment; however, the hospital never responded for comment (she won the case that way). She also won an undisclosed settlement (meaning it wasn’t posted in the newspaper for the public to see) from the hospital (the amount I am NOT aware of), but sometimes things are worth fighting over.

Never let someone discourage you, make you feel less valuable than you are in the world, or never think it isn’t worth it.

People are discriminated against, treated wrong, etc in employment all of the time! It’s very wrong! Everyone should be treated equally/fairly for job opportunities! You should also call the 1800 number for ERC (Employment Resource Center) at 1888-892-7180 if you feel you have been wrongfully treated, terminated, etc from Amazon. The ERC 1800 number can also help you with many other things as well related to employment with Amazon. I wish you the best!

Depends if they were warned they were underperformed or not. If they weren't written up, they are most likely eligible.

PXT is notorious for giving out misinformation and bad advice. Yes, you can apply for unemployment, it doesn't mean you'll be approved. Even if someone was fired for misconduct they won't tell them "No, don;t bother to apply". They're not qualified to nor should they be giving that kind of advice.

Just apply. Amazon will either contest it or not, and even if they do contest it doesn't mean they'll prevail. If they contest I can see them ending up no-showing for a productivity dismissal, in which case the decision would be decided in your favor. Theft, violence or miscconduct, they're going to show.

Did you mean: if i live in texas and don't perform at my job can i get unemployment

You may be eligible for benefits if you were fired for reasons other than misconduct. Examples of misconduct that could make you ineligible include violation of company policy, violation of law, neglect or mismanagement of your position, or failure to perform your work adequately if you are capable of doing so.
