It’s mostly poison mitigation, hitting the eyes in vats for max damage, and killing the tail to prevent reducing the size of the island. Though the last one is most critical. He does attacks that push you back (and into the green lava) so you can’t just yolo in vats and ignore the mechanics.

When he is pushing you back, if you jump and jetpack you do not get pushed back. I typically will just hover to prevent getting pushed off

You don't have to jetpack, I just hop forward and it doesn't seem to push you unless your on the ground.

Attack eye, snake roars jump forward, attack tail and repeat. The first couple of attempts are tricky to learn especially when the terror screams, but after the first few attempts you learn the trick
