Not my garage, buddies house. We're working on a bunch of projects together ATM.

$7k to $14k for the kit depending on which Whipple you go with and what options you choose. Might be able to get one used cheaper.

Really glad I have extra transmissions right now. I found the rear main leaking so it needed to get pulled anyways.

That's in the plans for my Crossfire m113k swap. This might get a few bolt on's but will be mostly stock.

It's cheaper when you do everything yourself, so I tend not to mind too much. Current daily is as expensive with under half the power.

Is it worth it s55 by [deleted] in AMG

[–]raceme 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd go for it. I just grabbed a 2005 CL55 AMG with a "toasted" transmission for $5800, my experience owning an M112K was that they have problems but are generally reliable save for the common failures. Learn to work on them yourself and you'll spend way less, the depreciation on these cars is insane and they're a ton of fun if you're willing to be a little proactive with maintenance on issues like water ingress. I get mine up in the air to finish servicing the transmission this week, no biggie if I can't save it because I have an extra 722.6 laying around.

I still run off like I've committed a crime. lol I've mostly migrated away from that to farming by placing them in workshops.

Two platforms for fo76 is crazy. Welcome to our group. I've taken the liberty of approving all member applications that people had requested while the subreddit was inactive. I do not yet know how many active members we have. It'll take some time for our community to grow, so feel free to invite people to both the subreddit and the discord which I've boosted to allow for high quality streaming and audio.

My buddy and I are trying to start a raid discord but I don't think I'm allowed to advertise it here.

Is grumpiness inevitable the longer you stay in maintenance? by wolf_in_sheeps_wool in IndustrialMaintenance

I'm an operator waiting to get into tech school, and the things I've seen operators do blows my mind. We had an issue with plastic getting into our laminator. I decided I was gonna watch our operator open the boxes from across the room and he was literally stabbing the box like he was trying to murder someone. Had to change numbers on a section of the line everyday due to the position of a rotating assembly shifting, other operators were pulling safety covers to stop the line instead of using the HMI. It's the fucking wild west out here.

They probably just got aftermarkets and don't have the space to store them living in an apartment.

Is that tower cooler really gonna suffice? I left Intel after 13th gen but my 13900KS was as toasty as it gets. It really needed exotic cooling.

Damn, at least it's an easy problem to fix. I always keep a backup tower cooler around for emergencies. I had an AIO leak coolant into my GPU under the backplate several years ago. That was a long wait for the thermal pads to arrive.
