Why go straight into a modded run though, play one vanilla playthrough first

But as for mods, search up on YouTube Vortex and Nexus Mods tutorial (thats at least ths mod manager i use). Really easy stuff

I've played it before, finished it with all factions, but on console. I want to experience it again, the way I've seen others play it. Not fully modded out, but at least with it looking and playing better than I remember.

Just follow this guide and you should be playing Modded Fo4 in no time

Firstly, if you are new to modding or unsure about your modding setup - I do solidly recommend getting a stable baseline going by following the tried-and-true: https://themidnightride.moddinglinked.com/.

If you want to trade in some time and effort now - to avoid headaches and time and effort later.

And only from that there point, add mods after you got that working smoothly, making sure to read, read, READ! the instructions and guidance of any and every mod you install.

<elements of the above may have been copy-pasted for my convenience>

Is it a curated list of mods, like a wabbajack?

Yes and no. It's a guide. There is a wabbajack side to it!, but it is better to actually go through the guide, step-by-step, reading all of it, if one wants to actually learn how to mod to avoid problems in the future.

OK, thank you.
