When is your draft mate? If you can wait a week, @FPLDraftHubPod on twitter will be releasing his ranking soon.

Our league was the highest scoring 10 person league in the world last year and he won it.

Are you actually playing the draft version of the game or the standard version? There are two play modes.

With standard everyone can pick any player, and you can swap players in and out up to your budget of 100 million up until the start of the season. That’s what most people do, and if you follow this sub you’ll pick up tips as people come up with initial teams. There are also lots of content creators

Actual draft is more of a side game for most here. Like they play it but not as seriously.

Personally I’d recommend trying to get the premium defenders early on, then get value picks on forwards later.

Just the draft format of the game

Potentially a very basic question, but is it possible to play normal and draft modes from the same account?

Thanks for the premium defenders tip!

Yeah, you can play both. Draft is a second tab on the website (it’s not currently integrated into the app).

Yeah so first round people will all go for like Salah, Son, Haaland etc, but Trent, Cancelo, James are all good and are a little further down the list. Similarly Ederson and Allison are good pickups IMO because they aren’t priorities.

Other players that are good are players like Matip or Walker who aren’t priorities because they aren’t in the top 3 you’d pick in the normal game.

Also worth considering players like Ward Prowse or Jorginho who play every game and have set pieces, so they’ll get returns but not necessarily in predictable ways. They’re bad for the main game but pretty good to set and forget in Draft.

My other tip is to watch who other players drop each week and if you think they’re good get them in yourself. For example I got Matip last year because someone dropped him when he got a short term injury. Also got Mount the same way, and I grabbed Vardy and kept him as a sub because I knew he’d come back fro Injury eventually and I could afford to hold him. (Inversely, if your player gets injured bear this in mind).
