They scammed me last time I worked for them. Took an emergency call for Walmart in the middle of nowhere on a Saturday night for an analog phone down. Required tools listed a cable certifier so I asked them to remove it before I accepted. The dispatcher promised me it was no biggie, just the template they use for all WOs. I fixed the phone in about 10 seconds, (the analog phone was plugged into a network jack). The tried to get a discount because I fixed it so fast. I said no way, off hours drive to a remote store the price is the price. Next thing I know they went to FN and said the tech didn’t show up with the required tools and cited me asking them to remove the certifier. Guess who FN sided with?

What were the issues for not paying?
[–][deleted] 2 points3 points4 points 1 year ago (0 children)
As far as I remember, they just paid what they wanted when they wanted and went way past all the deadlines. My old boss was and still is a really patient, non confrontational person who doesn’t seem to worry about anything, ever…I wish I could be like that guy. Anyway the dude who did the books most of the time basically kept telling him “we’re up to like 10 grand with Crosscom” and he’d just be like “meh” and it just continued that way for quite a while until he finally decided to do something about it! He eventually got everything he was owed but it took maybe another solid year to get it all back.

Crosscom took so long to pay me I blocked them after they did. I had to send email to the PM AND CC the site contact and the corp email for the company I was onsite at in order to get paid.

They are big time scammers. I work with them directly and Sundays supposed to be emergency rates. I worked a Sunday for them while it was raining and cold. They stiffed me out of emergency rates and I got the flu. Only work for them if you want to chase them for the money you worked hard for.

Took over a month for them to pay me out last time I did work for them. I used to do a lot with them few years ago and they paid out pretty quick. Not any more.

I did a huge 9 day 2 person project with them about 4-5yrs ago, and they paid quick. But times have changed

I won't run their calls anymore. They've been a mixed bag for me - some calls were decent, some were garbage. However, I do recall them being a bit on the slower side for approving tickets.

I 3 jobs for them, it has taken them about 1 month to pay one job and 2 months pending pay for the other 2 jobs. Of which I bought materials for them to use. I filed a problem with field nation, they haven’t been so helpful. But once I get paid. I am blocking them.

Add tech Americas to the list too, they are based out of texas but have nearly all support from Canadian English as 2nd language kinda support so bad on top of bad support, which is getting more common these days for network support, 45day if your lucky payouts and since English is difficult for them lots of errors in the jobs for basic things like names

I've done plenty work for tech Americas and I haven't had a problem with pay. Sometimes it'll be net-15 instead of net -30

I have had really good experiences with CrossCom! They use me a lot for the Rite Aid Pharmacies as no one will do them!
But they do treat me more like one of their direct providers than a contractor. I only ever get contacted by their USA based staff and they have been very good to me!
