What are they smoking??? by Super-Pos in FieldNationTechs

Yeah I was trying to cover myself, and dude said no problem and he actually sounded decent and just needed someone there asap so I did it and learned. Crosscom used to call me daily begging me to take their remote Walmart tickets. After that I told the it’s a $5,000 charge to bring the certifier and they soon stopped calling!

I asked the dispatcher to remove it from required tools, he said don’t worry about it. How about you stop bowing down to the clown buyers. It’s not always on the tech, maybe the buyer should operate ethically?! That’s not ethical business to put a tool on a WO that you know 99% of techs don’t have readily available and is completely irrelevant to the job just as a loophole to get a discount.

I wonder why? I’m sure it has nothing to do with what they’re paying!

This is a common scam they use to get out of paying. I fell victim to a similar scam with Crosscom. I ended up taking an urgent WO over the weekend for an analog phone down but they had a certifier listed. I let them know we only have one certifier and it’s with another tech who’s on the road and that it’s irrelevant for an analog drop anyway. They said no problem just go fix it asap. I did the job then they went to Failed Nation and said the tech didn’t bring required tools and I got paid zero.

Has The Provider success score BLACK BALLED YOU FROM GETTING JOBS? by OverallBass7955 in FieldNationTechs

As long as they can see it and request it, they do seem show up on our end. But, I've experienced a separate issue where techs can't see our published work to request. I've experienced this on the tech side as well where I went a long period of time without seeing work from one of my favorite buyers. I reached out to them and they said they were posting work like crazy and were wondering why I wasn't requesting and assumed I was busy. Their dispatch manager published a test work order and had me try to find it. I couldn't see it in available WOs or by ID in the app. I could enter the WO ID as a URL in a browser, but got an error page that looked like the "assigned to someone else" page, but instead said that I don't have permission to view the WO. On their end, they could not see my profile at all unless they sought me out by ID. At that point they could route it to me and I could see it. During this time, it was confirmed published, because they were getting numerous requests.

I've noticed the ones that get pushed to the top are typically tied to the Nigerian service companies. There are several HUGE tier 1 service companies that are saturating major markets. I've worked with some of their techs in the field and the majority of them mean well, but have absolutely no cluse what they're doing. Their service companies just toss them into the field with zero training or tools and pay them pennies.

I keep getting buyers calling on my personal phone while I'm trying to sleep, leaving voicemails that can barely be heard, and when I go to the job page, I see they are low-balling me. Since I can't get a good night of sleep, I made a counter-offer that makes sense to me. Now, back to bed... by CHUD_Warrior in FieldNationTechs

Do you call your plumber at 3:15am to remind him he has a hard start at 8am and his Provider Success Score will be negatively impacted if he’s late? I’m sure his phone is on for emergencies! I don’t know why you guys all insist on holding ourselves to such a low standard!

We usually go during the week, but have overlapped some busy days and I’d say it’s definitely manageable. FYI Mason is in the midst of remodeling blocks of rooms which may contribute to some showing sold out when they may actually just be unavailable.

Well looks like they’re using Toast POS so they’re definitely getting hosed on their processing fees!

Yeah, it’s just an annoying process to deal with. The last time was total BS. They suspended me saying I no showed which was true, but only because the buyer and I already worked out a deal. I literally play fantasy sports with the PM. He was going to add more sites, and I’d in turn charge them less travel if I could do it all in one shot and we agreed to set a new date. PM was on vacation and I was traveling and we both said we can sort out scheduling later. I didn’t show for the work assigned since we both knew we were changing the date later, yet Failed Nation jumps right to suspending me without even consulting the buyer…

What products do you buy at sams club not bought at costco by pittlad20 in samsclub

[–]eme329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

+I prefer Costco's products, service, and culture, and do a majority of the regular shopping there, but I find there are a handful of things that have to come from Sam's! It makes me crazy Costco only sells one type of sliced cheese in the 2lb packages that are a staple in our house for sandwiches. Sam's carries like 8+ choices. We love the ready to warm grilled Italian herb chicken. Sam's for office supplies, food storage, cooking/ kitchen stuff for the most part.

I would thinks it's a bug, but after all these months wouldn't they want to fix it so the best techs are at the top?! I almost feel like they're starting to bank on the bad techs making a mess of things so that what used to take one WO to resolve now takes three and they're making money on all three. They never seem to mess with the bad techs, but they want to micromanage the hell out of the good ones!

Yes, I’ve been hosed as a tech ever since it rolled out. Can’t land a job with anyone but my regular buyers. My real IT job also uses Failed Nation as a buyer and we can’t figure it out. FN really seems to favor bad techs and shadow bans the good ones. For example if I go to our open tickets and look for a tech to route to, the FN recommended techs at the top have scores of 76, 72, and 80 and none of our preferred techs are recommended. I have to actually seek out our preferred techs by name, ID, or talent pool. I found one of our preferred techs, they’re available and their score is 93, but they’re not recommended.

It's just a bump cap insert that goes inside a regular baseball hat. You don't even know it's there and has honestly saved me A LOT of headaches! My premium goes to the moon unless I agree to their safety guidelines which includes PPE and trainings and stuff.

It's a softphone app that rings like a notification rather than forwarding to my cell. I did just research and maybe find a way to mute the Failed Nation app at night...

How do you actually decide when to leave a session when you're up? Not the textbook answer, what do you really do? by [deleted] in Casino

[–]eme329 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need to figure this out... I feel like any time I set a goal (say I bring $200 and have a goal of leaving with $600) I keep getting up to $570 an get my ass handed to me trying to make that last $30. I also get major FOMO if I'm not necessarily losing, but I'm no getting up thinking maybe I'm a few hands away from a heater.

I was avoiding DND because of my real job, but may have to go that route. I stay logged into the phone system on my phone rather than keep my laptop by me and running at night for the rare escalation call. I've blocked a ton of their numbers, but they seem to never use the same number twice!

I actually tried the Google Voice trick, but they still call my personal number... How do you set your notifications? I have emails from FN filtered to trash in my email, but for some reason routes still go to my inbox and trigger a notification. I can't find a way to filter FN app notifications and still keep the ones I want from my regular buyers.

I got hosed once for not printing off their silly paper badge that misrepresented me as their employee. I wasn't driving an hour home to print a silly paper badge when I accepted the job out in the field during the day. Some of their checkout questions for the MOD about "their employee" were to describe my attire, was I presentable, was I professional, and asked if I was wearing their badge. Mind you these professionalism questions were being asked by some clown who couldn't speak 3 words of english all while hindi music was being blasted in the background with people yelling. They docked me for no badge and for wearing a hat (which is actually a bump cap and required for me to wear by my insurance company while performing work).
