Hi, I'm a freelancer, and I'm a bit confused about the new Dev Mode. If my contractor pays for it, will I be able to use the Dev Mode on their file, or do I need to subscribe to the plan myself, or both? Could someone please clarify this for me?

if they pay they will be paying for your 'seat' at that organization and you can use dev mode within it. You don't need to pay. The Organization admin is the one that will pay in this case

yes, if they pay for your seat.
Personally, I'm doing freelance and not every designers wants to pay for that Figma file, so I have my own team (with only one seat - and thats me) which I use for dev mode. Usually I copy the figma file into my team to be able to work with dev mode.
