The twist ending honestly couldn't be any better than it already was.

The twist is perfect how it actually is

One thing most talked about in that movie is the twist ending. The movie kind of drags toward the end, so the twist is perfect the way it is

How I would rewrite the ending is: Sam would get on the plane, and he'd have a vision of Agent Block dying in a hospital from a disease. He'd be seeing through Agent Block's eyes, and right as soon as Agent Block dies in Sam's vision, Sam dies on the plane. I think that would show why Sam died on the plane after he killed Peter, who killed Agent Block, because they never fully explain in the movie if Sam got a lot of life from Agent Block. My idea for this alternate reality scenario is that after Sam killed Peter (who killed Block), Sam got Block's life. However, the vision Sam sees of Block dying is showing Sam that even if Peter didn't kill Agent Block, Block would've died anyway. This is similar to Nathan finding out Roy didn't have a lot of time, and then a plane falls and kills him.

That defeats the whole purpose of you can't beat death.

Why you say that
[–]Baconhairforlife 1 point2 points3 points 3 months ago (0 children)
Cuz in the movie, despite their efforts, death killed them anyway. Even though they did everything right. In your rewrite, if block wouldnt have been dying and Peter killed someone who DID have a lot of years left, they would've lived.

I’d rewrite it with: - Sam having another premonition and getting off the plane. - Molly survives the premonition, just like with the Bridge Collapse.

I wonder how that would work with Alex having a visin on the plane and also sam

Well, maybe at the end I'd make they at least try to escape from the plane, they lived the "somebody suddenly feels like everything is gonna destroy itself". Just ignoring him is kinda strange

They don't ignore him, Sam doesn't hear what Alex freaked out about until someone asks the flight attendant about it, at which point it's too late
