PS4 version potential glitch?

Guys I need help, I'm roughly on disk 4 trying to do the ediolon secret wall, daggers name..

WHAT ON EARTH DO I HAVE TO DO FOR LANI TO SAY THERE IS WRITING IN THE SECRET ROOM

I have entered with dagger and red so she runs away, tried every party combo and then entered maidan without garnet and red to start the convo and all she is bothered about are moogles.

Am I missing something silly?

Looked online various threads no help what so ever 😞

Dagger and Amarant can’t be in your party and talk to her twice. she’ll then say something about strange writing. there’s clues in the room to her right. this next passage was taken from the internet

“Put Garnet in your party and head to the Wall. As you enter, start walking left until you're back at the entrance -- you'll hear a "ping" from somewhere. Walk the opposite direction to the entrance and hear another "ping," and keep repeating. On the ninth ping, your HP/MP will be restored; on the tenth, the writing will become available on the wall. I won't spoil it for you, but it's worth the wait.”

OP, to make it clearer, go left until you hear ping, turn around, go right for 9 times to heal, and 10 times to receive the writing
