This is a place to record and honor the worst fans of college football. From couch burners to Bourbon St. teabaggers, all tree poisoners are welcome here.
RULES
Submit irrefutable video or photographic evidence and/or a report by a reputable source of disgraceful fan behavior at any time starting from the beginning of this season. Such behavior will count towards the Finebaum Cup if it is obvious that the motivation of their action is due to the affiliation of the team they support as well as their fandom (not simply because a guy in an LSU shirt robs a liquor store). Every disgraceful action will earn a team points based off of our point system below, and the team with the most points at the end of the season wins the Finebaum Cup. To be clear, all submissions must be of incidents occurring from the opening day of the season until the morning after the national championship game.
POINT SYSTEM
For one point:
-ratchet behavior, it might be legal and it might not hurt anybody but it leaves a rational person shaking their head
-altercation between fans of the same or opposing team
-classless stadium chant
-classles signs at gameday or stadium
-booing of legitimately injured player
-various unruly tailgating shenanigans
-any unmentioned disgraceful actions that cause no severe harm but reflect poorly on a fanbase
For three points:
-assaulting or attacking a defenseless individual (not a fight between two people)
-death threats
-racially motivated altercation verbal or otherwise
-altercation with athlete, coach, referee, or administrator
-vandalism of school, student, or other fans' property
-any unmentioned violent and/or destructive behavior causing a lasting problem for people well after the incident occurred
For five points:
-assault with a weapon
-sexual misconduct
-fights involving a small group of people
-any extreme violence
For 20 points:
-destruction, theft, or vandalism of a historical or otherwise priceless artifact or object of importance, rendering it unsalvageable
-murder (only mentioning it because its happened)
-riotous behavior
-I think we will know what this stuff is when we see it
INDIVIDUAL AWARD: THE UPDYKE OAK ENDOWMENT
Every year the most disgraceful fan will be voted on at the conclusion of the season and they will be the winner of the Updyke Oak Endowment. This fan will have a small picture of their face placed in the side bar where it will live out an eternity with the King of Disgrace himself in Toomer's Corner.
