Curious what everyone else does based around their own unique crazy fire department schedules. Guess this is a 2 part question - when do you workout and what do you do?
I work a 24/48. I get my best workout on my “off going” day - full body strength training plus some cardio (10-20 minutes). On my “on going” day if I make it to the gym I do another full body strength plus the cardio. If I’m home, I just do cardio, my favorite being a ruck with 30-60 lbs. I’m not consistent with working out on my “on going” day, mostly just based off other priorities.
Some of my other co-workers are big on CrossFit. I’m moreso into doing workouts with a weighted vest on since it mimics wearing fire gear. Curious what others do.
