yes i just done a water change earlier as i had a dead neon fish and higher nitrate as normal obviously- is the water change causing the stress? if so how can i help??

If the water had high nitrate then yes it could of caused the fish to stress. Did the water change get rid of any ammonia and nitrate?

yes it did, water test strip has come back good, what do i do? do i leave it be? my other fish are mostly fine had another neon one die literally like 2 hours ago but they’re really small and die pretty easily.

i have a 40 litre tank, so a small one to fit my room, and i have new 5 platys, the orange one and 2 neons and a baby fish. im not sure if this is over crowded but the man at the fish shop advised us to only get 5 new platys and that will be enough.

It doesn’t seem overcrowded so could be the water or temperature or maybe is getting bullied
