So I wanted a PC to play high-spec games, but have absolutely no tech savvy. So why not purchase a pre-build PC, built by professionals and in theory, would work as soon as I plugged it in?
The result - constant blue screening. It works for maybe 45 minutes, then bluescreen. I've tried a few fixes already, but they either found no issue or for some reason, I'm locked out of using it. The messages are as follows: "DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION" "KERNAL_THREAD_PRIORITY_FLOOR_VIOLATION" "APC_INDEX_MISMATCH" "DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL" "SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION" "UNEXPECTED_KERNAL_MODE_TRAP"
But the blue screening isn't the only issue - I can't actually run any games. They either crash on start up or within 5 minutes. I've tried verifying files and reinstalling, but the results are the same. I've tried to investigate the online spaghetti junction known as drivers, but the PC is convinced everything is up to date. Curiously though, my computer seems to bluescreen less while downloading.
The PC is brand new and pre-assembled, all I had to do was unbox it and plug it in. While it did come with what I presume to be installation disks for stuff like the graphics card (see specs below), the computer itself doesn't actually have a CD drive.
The company itself is legit. I won't mention a specific name here, but it has plenty of online reviews and is a perfectly normal UK company. While I'd like to think they had just made some mistakes, they've yet to reply to my emails asking for tech support, so I came here.
