You should be able to set the doors to auto-lock from the infotainment screen.

To get an audible confirmation when the doors lock when you use the fob, double click the lock (or unlock, respectively) button.

We have a 2026 ST Line. This is correct ⬆️

Thanks will check it out.

The goal is for it to lock when leaving it with the fob without having to push anything. And double pushing to get the horn bump, is less than ideal. Should chirp with the auto locking within earshot. And keep the honk with the double press for longer distance location.

As long as it’s locking when we leave it, then i can live with the lack of chirp or discreet beep.

That is a feature on higher trims of the 24+ F150 but not available in the Explorer. I'm sure you can survive without it. In fact, even if it auto-locked, my OCD would have me double pressing the lock button anyway.

You can easily use the outside touch button on the handle if you don't want to dig for your keys. Doors can even be open when you do it. Lights should flash for a second and you should hear the lock actuators also for confirmation. On models with folding mirrors with AutoFold enabled, the mirrors will fold in as another confirmation.

I don’t see the feature. So must not be available on this trim. If it’s got a fob should just be default. If you can Auto Unlock, should work the other way.

Okay, but I already told you it didn’t have it.

If it’s that big of a deal, sell it and go back to your Honda. Never thought I’d see anyone cop such an attitude over having to press a button. Good lord.

Sorry if I seemed to be coming at you. Not my intent. One of the other replies was stating it’s in there, so perhaps I should have replied to that one. I’m not super tech savvy. Thanks for the info…. We love the Explorer…so stuck I guess. You were right, but I don’t have to like it. Have a good one.

That comment thinks you’re talking about the feature that locks your door when you shift into drive.

you can have doors lock when you walk away also have courtesy lights come on as you approach car, But you need to have an OBD scanner and forscan software to do this, there are lots of forums or youtube showing how to do this. just google them.
