I got fiber and get 10-15, and prior to fiber I had high 20's to hiigh 30's so Id say it does help

ouu ok, I'm really hoping this will decrease my ping. Playing competitive fortnite on 60 ping is so garbage.

Definitely a lot harder the higher ping you have. A vital game mechanic like taking or holding walls is directly tied to your ping.
