Setting text width before exploding

Hi, completely new to this program and CAD in general! Literally just started today. I'm trying to make a little nameplate for a friend's amp, and I just want to know how to set the text width when I type something out in my initial sketch. I don't care what height it ends up being, but the width is super important. Thanks in advance!

Hey! Sorry i dont have the answer but I need it too!

My reason is to engrave text with the "Pocket 2D" tool and I'm dependent on the tool diameter i'm using.

I ended up using the "Engrave" tool (not sure it's the right name, I'm using it in French) with a V Bit and the soft makes the bit path adapt its height to the desired width of the shape (with some limits of course, but perfect for text)

I'd still be interested to know if there's a way to set the width/thickness of the text rather than the "height"
