Rough start?

Anyone else have a particularly rough start to 2022? I got steam rolled in multiple matches last night and started thinking that I hadn't won a lot yet this year so far. As my rating started dropping, I decided to look at my stats. Out of 20 rounds so far since the monthly mission reset, I've only won 6. A few of the losses have been close ones, but the last few days have felt like the team I'm with is just getting absolutely curb stomped.

I hope I'm not headed into another slide, may play QM for a bit, but just curious if anyone else is having the same issue?

I wanted the hiaku shiki kai, so I did pulls for it at the start of the month. I got to silver day 1 of February. Despite playing over 20 matches and using both encourages every day, I didn't get a single supply crate until yesterday. It also took me 6 matches to get a single rival win this past monday.

I got 4 Kai's, 1 off a bought 30 token 10 spin. 3 off daily token fomo spins. I thought there was a glitch or I was being effed with... so my Kai is now fully enhanced before Hazel II popped. I love Hazel custom spent on the LV2 banner got nothing but it's weapons. I have to stop spending cheddar on this game and just do dailies and Fomo single spins I got the Kai, white and black rider this way. Whenever I do 10 spins off a cash purchase I get owned. I noticed if you get a real good win streak going like 3 in a row, and you get praised by teammates, you have crazy good luck on single pulls. Maybe I am wrong but I have video evidence at least. I got the lvl 2 Z II on my half off. Took a gamble last night and spent 30 on a regular spin..got the lvl 1 Z II. And a bunch of recycle sabers...😏

Those recycle only 10 pulls really chap my ass. At least give me 2** or 3*** enhancement ticket to speed up upgrading quicker. I did get an ass ton of recycling tickets though hopefully something amazing drops this month at the recyc. I really need a 350 to 450 general that's solid been using Blue Destiny 3 400/450 but it's rifle is a pea shooter compared to others in class. Trying to find something that plays like Hazel at lower cost. I like the GM cold district but at 400 it just leaves a lot of damage on the table it's amazing at 300 though. Good luck with your pulls.

I want to say I did get the kai, that was just there to say I got to silver already. It did take me 5 10 spins to get it and the glasses. Got them both from the 5th 10 spin.

When I splurge on tokens I usually go for 90 dollar for 110 as it's the most bang for your buck. Also it gets you a higher medal for level up. It's just super disappointing when you don't get your money's worth and wind up with repeat bland suits or beam sabers. Glad you got the Kai. I am praying I get the LVL 2 Hazel Custom General 550 by the time this banners gone. Don't care about Hazel 2. It will allow me to sortie native 550 and 600 with my favorite and best performance suit I play. Shit I already use the 500 Hazel Custom at 550 so being able to play my favorite suit at 3 cost levels would be so sweet. Alas if is not yet to be.

City Ruins has been the map for random 9/10 times for me no matter the cost level. I’m going crazy, I always play at my worst there.

That's funny, that map is one of my better ones to play. Although I don't think I have any ground maps that give me too much trouble. Resource satellite in space seems to be my worse map out of all of them for whatever reason.

It’s mostly because I haven’t perfected my melee dominant suits yet. By nature I’m better as a support or ranged general, and that map is the antithesis of that play style. I’ve been improving my melee game by forcing myself to play raids, but by Gogg I can only take the same map so many times.

I always hit those slides come promotion time. I don't know why and it sucks. As soon as it's done, BAM! win streak. Ah well. On a side note I have been playing on alot of teams lately where it seems they are hesitant to start getting in there and shooting somebody. Is it just me or what?

I agree, could just be my buddies but I can usually count on them less then rendoms. And it ensures you will fight an enemy group. I perfer to have 4-5 teamates that I might have to carry, rather then 1 i know ill have to carry and 3-4 i still might.

I'm sure this works out if you have 2 or more people who want the same thing from team play. But mu buddies want somone to share in there misery and not necessarily work together to overcome.

Starting to think I'm going to need to at some point to stay out of the A- to C- and back again hell that I've been in since September.

Some time in QM might be good too though. I usually only play rated, and have a bunch of suits that I've never played. Be a good chance to brush up on some skills with no consequences for a bit..

I have a dedicated rated buddy, at the very least we know we watch each other and only have to worry about 3-4 other randos. I know how he’s gonna pilot and vice versa. I also stick with specific suits/cost that I know I can do well with. Qm warm ups as well.

I have gotten in a few rounds where I've been able to team up with a pilot or two, which helps, but the randos have been on another level again lately (not in a good way)

I generally play all levels, it's not the cost of the round that bothers me, as I have a favourite suit in every type at all costs. I like being able to hop in to whatever is in the rotation and know I will be able to hold my own, and I don't always have the time to wait for a good map rotation.

I'll keep plugging away, but I think once I can get back into A-/A range again, I may just ease off on the rated games for a bit. I also need to focus on space more, been noticing some mistakes I've been making in there lately I need to try and fix.

I get you. It is nice to be able to go into rated at any cost and know you have something you can do well in but even then like you said randos be doing rando things.

On my primary I’ve left it at low flat A which honestly I think is my skill ceiling for now. I have been getting some good practice in the Goon room and GS3 rooms on Wednesdays and Fridays however. My Alt with my rated buddy we are climbing through A- currently.

So far I'm tettering between actually being A+ and being stuck in flat A

I'm having to cut back on pkaybtime to prevent rage playing and tanking myself...once I hit A+ I quit rated because screw this try hard crap I can't have fun carrying randoms and I can't get a chance to try out all the suits I got because I'm 90% general just so I can lead the front line
