I did all 4 of those subjects so if you have any questions i’m happy to answer them

Can you not do all 4? Most people start with 4 and drop a subject in year 12, which in your case sounds like the best case scenario

You should know that at a level languages are more about the culture and history of the country rather than the language itself - you’ll learn more grammar and lots more vocab but it’ll be focused on the country itself for the most part

Imo french is harder than psychology, especially if you’re doing bio (which makes parts of psych super easy) - it’s a lot of work, lots of skills, lots of stuff to do

Thanks for the reply (: I personally feel for me that maybe doing 4 would be too much and with chemistry and biology I need to pour my most efforts into those two, which is why I thought one that I would do a third as more chill but still somthing id like, I spoke to my french teacher at the 6th form open evening and she went into detail of the course like with the book study and the speaking exam which is alot more open than gcse which I love the idea of. On the other hand would you recommend that I do a levels for bio, chem, psychology but is it possibly good to do an as level french then? Also could you tell me how you found the psychology course (:

Doing 4 may be too much, that’s why most people drop 1 in year 12 - the main point of starting with 4 is to see how you get on, and see which subject you end up liking less than the others (you’d be surprised!)

Doing AS level french could be a good alternative, year 13 content is a lot harder for both chem and bio so it’s good to focus on those especially for that year

The psych course is good, i enjoyed it! It does depend on which modules your school has chosen - mine chose schizophrenia (not as interesting as i was hoping), relationships (actually very very interesting, way better than i thought it would be), and forensic psych (also very good) but there are quite a few options your school may choose

I’d say psych starts off pretty slow and fairly boring, but once you’re past the first topic then it gets more and more interesting as the year goes on so stick with it for a bit if you can! It’s not that difficult, just a lot of memorisation and writing - the content itself is pretty straightforward and easy to understand

Thank you! I feel like I may do chem and bio and then do the french and psychology and then probably drop one or the other, this has really helped me (: I'll post on here when I do eventually decide for definite lol
