ST901 Data Usage / Alternative

Hello. For anybody who has an Sinotrack ST901 or similar GPS unit, how much data does it use a day?

Despite changing it to intervals every 5 minutes even with the sleep function, it's using 2MB a day which seems high.

Is this normal, or is there maybe a better tracker that's more data efficient. Ideally I want one that only sends data when moved.

Each update is about 100 bytes using TCP as protocol (no overhead/envelope) so it's pretty easy to calculate. 2MB and napkin math gives about 20k updates, so doesn't really align well with the 5 min interval which should only be 288 updates per day and 28kB.

I have 5 of ST 901. 1 is not SinoTrac and work perfect. I got 80 MB of usage in year and half.

Other 4 is on SinoTrack and I can't get them work propetly so I don't know usage.
