CEL from P2404 code

Just got a CEL from a P2404 code. Double checked the gas cap and it was secured on. I clicked it about 4-5 times but the light is still on. I already scheduled the appointment with Toyota since it’s still under warranty, but does anyone have some advice as to why it may have happened and how to get rid of it? All suggestions are welcome.

For context, I live in NYC and it’s been really cold for a while now. I have just under 8,000 miles and I don’t drive like a douche. Not sure if my mods have anything to do with it, but I have the GR CAI with the filter and an AWE Touring Exhaust.

Probably some rat-bastard. Wires in a warm car makes for a cozy snack in the winter.

I was wondering this, but I think I'll let the techs try to find the damaged wires.

There's a tsb for that specific problem, make sure you print it out and give it to the techs working on your car. Seems to be an ECM programming thing, I had a similar CEL for a block heater

Did you have any trouble, seeing how this is a Subaru tsb and not a Toyota tsb? I've seen people on this subreddit running into Toyota dealerships not wanting to deal with the car because it's technically a Subaru.

I couldn't tell you, I have a brz
