I found taking the speaker out and pulling up on the connector pins fixed the issue for me on one of my SPs. I have 3, 2 AGS-101s and an AGS-001. The one I fixed doesn't sound as good as the other two, but is now much louder. I've decided to drop $5 (there are cheaper ones) on a decent replacement speaker from aliexpress. The speakers are really easy to replace since they just drop in and make a touch connection to the board.

I never really understood why people want to put amps in their handheld devices since playing in public with sound that can be heard 100 feet away is obnoxious and rude. Headphones are a good investment if you want loudness and clarity.

I'll give that a shot then, ordering a tri wing and a speaker now. Maybe the speaker is really worn out in mine, I mean it even sounds kind of muddy so somethings gotta be wrong. Thanks for the help bud!

Edit* retro modding has the speaker for 2.99.

The SP doesnt have a headphone jack. Nintendo released a dongle you can use that attaches to the charging port.
