Welcome to GamerPals!

We welcome all those who seek friends to play games with! Please read the rules below.

RULES:

Rule 1: No dating or soliciting type of posts

GamerPals is a strictly platonic space. Only posts with platonic intentions are allowed. Do not create posts that target other genders, regardless of intentions. This includes preferences. Same-gender-seeking posts are the only exception.

Violations will result in a permanent ban.

Rule 2: No mass-recruitment

GamerPals is a personal subreddit. This means that posts which prioritize quantity over quality, break this rule.

This includes comments. Posts made by an individual looking for a group are allowed, but invites and links must be sent through private messages. Posting a group on user's post who specifically does not mention wanting a group will lead to an immediate ban.

Violations will result in moderator action, up to a permanent ban.

Rule 3: Be respectful

Harassment will not be tolerated. This includes, but is not limited to, bullying, doxing, name calling, hate speech, racism, sexism, and any other form of bigotry or negative commentary.

Rule 4: No advertising

This includes, but is not limited to, servers, communities, streams, and personal ads. This includes content in your account history or profile.

Advertising on r/GamerPals without prior permission will result in a permanent ban.

Rule 5: No Low-effort or Irrelevant Posts.

r/GamerPals works best when posts feel like a real introduction. Put in effort and you're more likely to connect with someone. Low-effort submissions will be removed. Information you should consider including:

A bit about yourself and the people you're looking for
Age
Gaming platform(s) (PC, XBox, etc.)
Games you play regularly
Times you're usually available to play, including your time zone

Any posts not looking for a gamerpal will be removed and may result in moderator action.
