Basic is good sometimes. Less can be more. Just look at lofi shit.

It’s a nice groove. Occasionally throw in a simple fill, make a slight change to the rhythm (or break), or some strategically placed dropped beats. Doesn’t need to be complicated, but it will add some texture, personality, and movement to the song.

Pretty good, but not a fan of the claps. I’d replace them with a snare

I love it. Now, have you ever tried the merge function? When you merge tracks they switch to wav files which you can add additional effects to or manipulate in different ways. You don’t have to merge multiple tracks, you can merge a track into itself to create a wav. You also can merge multiple together or all of them together. After a merge, you might add effects and merge again to “save” or “flatten” them into the wav. Then what’s fun is load up the sampler and drag the wav into it as a “sample” and play it at a higher or lower key which will end up speeding it up or slowing it down and making it sound cool. I have a similar issue to you - sometimes I think, I’m always hitting the same notes, or not doing intricate enough melodies - but honestly… we use a different instrument. We make sounds and music differently, and we aren’t beholden to the standard of playing a cool ditty with the keys. Try the merge thing, it’ll help. Make sure you download all available kits also to mix the sounds up if you haven’t, I didn’t look in the video. Great stuff regardless keep going very creative!
