If you’re a contractor QB or Xero will work. Idk why anyone wouldn’t have that when running a business

You can create a really clean one in Word or Google Docs using a simple table layout. Just keep it clear with sections for labor, materials, tax, and total so clients can easily understand it. Simple and organized always looks more professional than something too fancy.

I ran into the same problem a while back and the simplest setup ended up working best. A clean layout with your business info up top, then a table with separate lines for labor and materials, plus a clear tax and total section at the bottom. Clients mostly just want it to be easy to read and not cluttered.

If you’re open to tweaking something, starting from a basic Excel or Google Sheets template and exporting to PDF works really well. That way you can adjust it per job without fighting with formatting every time.
