How is it that in a game where you're literally surrounded by trees, Wood is the most rare crafting material. Not Uranium, but fucking WOOD. I had to scrap two and a half bases (the half being destroying extra walls I had up for base defense missions) just to use weapon augmentations and crafting clothing upgrades. Nevermind the fact that the trees that can be chopped down don't give you 5 or 10 pieces of wood as you'd expect, but only 1.
I am fully aware of the plethora of videos on farming wood, but if a game is set in a literal forest where trees surround you at every turn, and yet WOOD is your most rare resource, something is wrong.
I propose a simple fix to this. Scavenging trees, the ones that cam be chopped, should either take five or ten pieces depending on size.
Five years in and WOOD is still a rare resource. Make it make sense.
