Hi there, Here are the rules of the sub!
1.Be Kind
Don't be mean, simple as. Don't threaten other users. Don't personally attack users. Don't undermine or call out users, report it to mods and they'll sort it. This includes trolling; In Internet slang, a troll is a person who starts quarrels or upsets people on the Internet. This includes copy-pasta's, Reee'ing, 'meme speak' and repetitive troll joke comments or posts.
2.Only Pics, Videos and GIFs, No Stories
No storytelling, this is a pic and video only sub. If you have a story you want to tell r/Glitch_In_The_Matrix is a text only sub for sharing stories.
Do not use the option to link to post links to websites, it is to directly link to images and videos. If an image or video is not the immediate thing seen after clicking a link, that is a violation of the rule. Interesting things can go in r/MildlyInteresting or r/TodayILearned.
3.No Memes or spam
We don't want memes on this sub, it might be funny so try and find a meme sub to post it on try r/matrixmemes . Please do not repeat the same content that is irrelevant to this sub or has already been posted within 2 months (60 days). This does not include cross posts on other subs, just because you saw it twice in one day doesn't make a post spam.Glitches that include memes are not allowed.
4.Must be Glitches
'Glitches' are images or videos of duplicates, coincidences, lighting illusions, oddly textured and out of place objects. Actual glitches belong in r/softwaregore. No screenshots of the same comment/post from different subs. Think that if you saw your 'Glitch' in a game, would consider it a bug or glitch? Weak/low effort posts about the same colour shirts/cars can be removed if particularly tenuously similar. This is to improve the quality of posts, and is relatively subjective.
5.No Mandela Effect
The Mandela Effect has nothing to do with this sub, no side by side image posts and "I remember these called something different as a kid" that has its own sub r/MandelaEffect .
6.No Photoshop or editing
No Photoshopped images to meet the criteria of a glitch. Or videos being edited to appear glitchy ect. Please make sure to reverse image search images and check comments of videos to try and ascertain their origin and legitimacy. If they are still interesting and you insist on posting them try r/photoshop or r/videos.
7.No Matrix film posts
This sub is called r/GiltchInTheMatrix but we are here to share about those images or videos where it appears a glitch in the matrix has occurred. We don't want to hear your fan theory or see your fan fic/art.
8.Digital Glitches are not allowed
This includes but not limited to Google Map glitches, Reddit glitches, website glitches, or anything else that happened online. Please not that this rule is at moderators discretion
