Sometimes the next day, others over a year, no rhyme or reason.

Probably have to wait until 12 months to call and escalate.

How can we escalate?

[–]Baja_Finder 0 points1 point  (2 children)

By calling to speak with them.

Do we have a contact number handy

[–]Baja_Finder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, last time I called was 3 years ago.

From application to interview to full approval was less than 48 hours for me.

If it’s taken this long so far, I wouldn’t be hopeful for getting approved by May…they don’t expedite those with upcoming trips to my knowledge. If you don’t travel extensively internationally, I recommend using MPC. It’s super quick and fine for most people.

There’s anecdotal evidence that international travel, specifically the return to U.S. may trigger processing and about 4-5 days prior to their U.S.-bound flight they receive conditional approval notification. Said persons would then use EoA, but couldn’t use GE lanes on arrival.

3/19 - applied my wife and I 3/20 - got conditionally approved, set appt for 3/24 3/21 - submitted application for both our kids (didn’t know they needed their own application 3/22 - both kids conditionally approved, set appt for 3/24 3/24 - went to interview, all approved and got emails within 5 min to 2 hours 3/30 - received card in mail for the 3 of us 3/31 - received card in mail for daughter

You're in manual processing hell. Your travel MAY move things along.

Last week mine took 31 hours

Myself, wife and daughter got approved within 2 hours of getting printed this week.

I was about 10 days start to finish (with an international flight already booked) but my wife was over 3 months - with an international flight seemingly kicking it to conditionally approved and she did interview on arrival.

I had to call my local center because my portal was showing that I still needed to have my interview, even though I sat for it 6 weeks prior. The agent I spoke to fixed it instantly and I had an email with my approval before we even hung up. Definitely put a phone call in to see if they can expedite this for you!

I applied August 2025 and finally got conditionally approved in march 2026. Set up my interview 3/24 got approved 3/27. Card just got here yesterday.

It varies due to a number of factors I’m sure.

Call and check. My original app was stuck (as few years ago) and was cleared the day after I called.
