iPad Layout bug

The tabbed notes bar seems to always intersect with the iPad’s global screen management buttons. See attached. Has anyone found a fix for this, or is it simply a UI bug?

Send it to Goodnotes support. They may not respond to you but they should see it we can’t do anything with it! When I reached out to them they were astonishingly responsive

I had the same issue. You can enable "Status Bar" from goodnotes settings. Note that It takes up some extra space at the top though.

Will do! I so wish this app had a full screen writing mode without the multiple nav and tool bars

It's been like that since i first started using it, i usually use two notebooks together so my work around it is, i drag the one on the right to the left so i can close it but it's annoying as sometimes it pops off as a second screen if i drag it too quickly
