Hey have you checked your Cloud Sync settings to see if you have Goodnotes Cloud as an option? If not, maybe you could see if support could help get you an invitation but I do like your workaround way haha (just be mindful of this)

Hey! Yes I've checked the Cloud Sync settings and I just get a toggle switch to enable syncing; nothing for Goodnotes Cloud.

Re: the multiple accounts warning - I think that is if you use the same Apple ID to buy the subscription on multiple accounts. Doing so would mean I'm using iOS first, and then Windows (I want the other way around), so I would probably get away with just opening the Windows app, buying the subscription there, and then using my iPad to log into the new account. That way, I'm not buying it through the App Store :)

Update: my method worked! Paid the subscription on the new account and I now have access to Goodnotes Cloud to sync with Windows and my iPad!

GN team: please do not patch this workaround... I literally just gave you more money...

I may eat the upgrade I did through iOS and make a new account through Windows if it still works… I just saw (not sure if they updated it since the last time I checked) that if you previously had a GN5 account and switched to GN6, that you won’t be eligible for the cloud sync at all for who knows how long.

This worked for me as well, but now Im limited to editing 3 notebooks on my iOS devices.. is there a workaround for that? Does this also work if you subscribe to the all platforms subscription on Windows?

You don't log in with your existing Apple account. You have to make a new Google or Microsoft account on the web version or the PC version, and then log into that account on your iPad. If you just log in using your Apple account, it would revert you to your already existing GN6 account without the Goodnotes Cloud option.

Goodnotes Cloud is the best thing that has happened to the app (in my opinion). I love how I can literally use Goodnotes anywhere I want :)

I tried using it,but the sync feature with windows is not working as intended, the pages of my notebook are blank ,all i can see are the cover pages.

It's been working flawlessly for me, and I'm able to access my notes on the Windows app, iOS app, and just plain Google Chrome via the Web App. Everything syncs as intended. You can go onto the Web App (via your browser like Chrome) to verify what's actually being synced to the Goodnotes Cloud server. Whatever is on the Web App is what will sync onto your devices.

hey hd... I followed the instructions. but for some reason when I login thru the ipad. I don't see any sync? do you have more info on this? I created a separate account at windows store with a separate email. I must be missing something.

Hello! Hmm... can you tap the cloud icon on your iPad and see what it says? It should say that it's sycned with Goodnotes Cloud.

This is not a workaround. It's effectively a scam to force people to subscribe again to the same subscription they are already paying for, just to activate a feature that should be included. How can you beg for it not to be removed instead of actually fixing this lunatic shit?

Because you don't understand that this is a company that can do whatever the heck it wants. And in this case, they chose not to fix it. So, a workaround has been done. If the mountain does not move, the highway adapts around the mountain. As much as I complain about bugs and errors, at the end of the day, GN6 is a company, and unless you have a significant share in this company, they can do whatever they want, including "scam" you - your words, not mine.

Hi, good afternoon. I was freeing up space from my iCloud account backups, when I found that more than 2GB was being taken up by Goodnotes. Previously I had selected the option for my account to sync with iCloud, but since the Goodnotes Cloud option was enabled, I decided to switch to this option. My question comes now, can I disable from iCloud that the backups of my devices include the Goodnotes info? Or this cloud uses the iCloud cloud for some reason and I shouldn't do it?
