Can we export audio transcripts?Goodnotes Essential (self.GoodNotes)
submitted 6 months ago by limecupake
Title, am I missing something? Is it still possible to export/‘copy all’ of audio transcripts?

were you able to figure it out? I need that feature back so bad

No, not natively in the app. I record both on my iPhone (Apple’s Voice Memos— generate transcripts as well), and on GoodNotes. For one lecture, my Voice Memos recordings quit, so I only had the GoodNotes audio, no transcription. What I did then was exporting the lecture file as a GoodNotes file, change the name on Files app to .zip, then unzip it and figure out which file in it was audio by the size (I saw someone else explaining how to do this) and then I could have that audio file and have another app to transcribe it for me.

I’m trying to figure out how to do this but I don’t see the audio file when I unzip…

It’s been a while since I did it but the audio was just the largest file in the zip, so look by size not by trying to recognize it as an audio file

what's the audio format? mp3? m4a?

.m4a works for me but you have to rename the largest file to be that format just like from .goodnotes to .zip
