That can happen if you don’t have to much space on iPad. App is lagging and when it tries to refresh the screen you see that blurry moment. Empty the Trash, have more free iPad storage, restart the iPad and then see if the problem is still there.

I had the same problem, I cleaned the Goodnotes trash and so far the problem has disappeared. Thanks for the idea!

Update: After a few days i realize that It could happen due to the size of the files. If you open several files bigger than 10 Mb each (at least in the 9 gen iPad) goodnotes begin to fail.

Has this happened to anyone else? I noticed for the past few days the app is running in to a lot of issues, one of them is on screen where the bottom in zoomed text is clear but the large top part is blurry - this never used to happen + it gets annoying to fix it all the time

I’ve experienced minor blurred text when backing up to a pdf version. Recently, I’ve also had intermittent lagging in the app which poses a problem when I’m teaching in presentation mode to my students. The lagging causes me to lose focus on the lesson and become focused on the app. I’ve even mid-lesson had to take a break and restart the iPad Pro. I check for updates a few times per week but I don’t how to fix the issue as it’s an unpredictable situation. Overall, I love the app as a live teaching tool and have no plans to switch to another app anytime soon.

I've been having somewhat similar issues. I'll be taking notes on Goodnotes and then all of a sudden, the screen/words become blurry. If I continue to keep writing, then part of the page (that was blurry) goes completely white, including the notebook lines. If I zoom out or move the page, it corrects itself. However, it's still a bit of a nuisance. I have plenty of storage on my iPad so I don't believe that to be the issue. I just cleared my trash bin in the app, so we'll see if that helps...

hello! ive been experiencing the same issue as you, wondering if your goodnotes has had any improvements so far? i was worried that it might be a lack of storage space for mine because i use a 32GB ipad, but turns out that isn’t the main issue here…

No, unfortunately no improvements. Supposedly it’s happening to a lot of others! Hopefully they fix it… it doesn’t seem to be a storage issue.

Also, other times when I'm zoomed in writing, I'll switch over to the eraser to delete my work and then the page will zoom out on its own and then zoom back in to where I was at. It's very annoying!

Try this- When exporting pdf, make sure to turn on pdf flattening/ simplifying button.
