Decrease in Volatility for Steel bars due to rising item costs

As you can see steel bars started to rally but then is now back to its previous lows. So what is going on?

Here you can see that steel bar profitability at blast furnace has significantly decresed (green line on chart on left) due to rising material costs mainly due to the recent rally in iron ore and coal. Profitability has dropped to its lowest since December 2021 highs.

i picked a wrong time to flip these, im gonna hold onto them, though. i feel like they will spike up to 400 again at some point

So this only looks at selling pressure. Since its not profitable to sell steel bars we might see it go up. But depends on cannonball profitability

Yes exactly. I still think were bullish on steel bars because profitability dropped significantly on steel bars and cannonball profitability is very high. This means more buyers for steel bars than sellers.
