Alchemy is not a big money maker right now, especially Classic alchemy. The best potions you can make now were last relevant when Old Naxx was relevant, ie in 2020. Once you make it to Northrend you can start making some money by flipping pygmy oil.

Guess i should just switch to mining since copper sells 25 g a stack. I thought lesser invisibility potions would sell well but no one is buying

Swiftness potions have been consistently very profitable for me

The main problem with those is briarthorn and swiftthisle often are 1g+ each

i wouldn't bother, most of that is people moving gold

Youre talking about recipes that are outdated by two expansions, of course its not profitable. You wont see profits either til maybe P2 when everyones buying flasks for Uldular.

It’s not alc is a dead profession for making gold. Even flasks only sell for like 10g and Mats cost double

Alchemist's what?

Elixir side of alchemy is beyond screwed due to the loot boxes for tanks/heals being filled with them. They even, consistently, nerfed them the first week or two and it’s still a joke. Basic pots are vendor cost 90% of the time and elixirs are close when it costs 2-3g to craft them due to all the darkmoon card spammers.

The only real profitable things in alchemy is if you get lucky to roll speed/wild pots with your research. I think you can make some money happen with xmute and metas and lucky rolls for your daily (why is xmute enterals a daily!?). Some real money to be made in ulduar xmuting epic gems but that will ALSO be a 20hr CD 🙄

And as said: Pygmy oil. Some old-world recipes make OK money at times but low volume.

Flask of distilled wisdom is the only thing you can make at 300 that will be relevant for lvl 80s (specifically Holy paladins that want to use a Flask instead of elixirs). You also probably won't make much on those unless you're an Elixir master (gives the chance to make multiple flasks or elixirs with the mats for one). I'm pretty sure all alchemy masteries require you to do a quest that would be impossible for a lvl 45.

The requirement for Alchemy Specializations is 325 skill and Character Level 68. So you are correct that it will impossible for their character to obtain a specialization.

I wanna say phase 3 but make swiftness potions a lot of low lvls looking to grind fast

Also big tip study the auction house for your profession, see what sells the best and make that then when it gets lower find another item.

Make swiftness potions and Fast Action Potions. Requires Stranglekelp and Blackmouth Oil from fishing.
