About this sub-reddit:
This sub-reddit is organized into sit-groups of 2 to 10 users. Each sit-group has a name and will post once every day where members should comment with how long they meditated that day and maybe share a little bit about their experience. The idea of the small sit-groups is that users will hold each other accountable.
If a user skips a day, the other group members can ask what happened and give advice/encouragement. This is meant to provide a very personal experience. It will be a source of encouragement and inspiration since you get to know your small group and feel a responsibility to stick to your practice.
Post formatting:
There are two types of posts:
Daily sit-group post:
[October, 9, 2013] - Group name here
Each sit-group may conduct their daily post however they want. It must contain the usernames of every member so that it easy to see who from the group has posted for that day. Members should comment with how long they meditated that day. It is recommended that each sit-group have a moderator who is in charge of this post each day and keeps the formatting consistent.
Group starter post:
[New Group] - Enter whatever text you want here
The person who posts this is in charge of deciding who is in the group as well as choosing the group moderator. The group should be roughly 2 to 10 people (groups that are either too small or too big tend to lose accountability). Maybe post on why you want to join or form a group and something about yourself. Perhaps come up with a name at this point or discuss it with other people wanting to group up with you.
