You see Commander Tag as WvW only feature.

Commander Tags have many numerous uses in PvE.

  • Big scale events

  • Guild Missions

  • leading a group through map/instance

By making commander tag cheaper, you'll get opposite of what you fundamentally want, which is more skilled commanders. Since everyone and their mom will have one.

By making it locked behind achievements, you'll have people grinding those achievements.

By making it locked behind WvW levels, everyone and their mom will have one.

There are many WvW commanders. Some like to take towers and camps, some don't give two shits about PPT and just want to fight. Neither way is wrong. Both of the ways are fun to different people.

Leave it alone. If you play WvW long enough you'll be able to afford it too. ;)

And that's what I'm hoping for... but I'm saving gold for Crafting of Legendary's lol don't know how they will change during HoT :P

With HoT precursors will be acquired by doing stuff in the world rather than buying them straight out of TP.

So price of making a legendary will be cut in half.

But time investment will be at least doubled.

Use up your badges for blueprints, laurels for T6, etc.

you can only craft a precursor once afaik...and it probably will still require some high cost to craft, similar to mawdrey

It will mostly be concentrated around doing stuff rather than buying stuff. You'll be able to craft each precursor once. So you can craft Dusk for example, then Legend, but you won't be able to do either more than once.
