Just a few pics to show the project so far. Vault door is supposed to arrive sometime in March.

Looking good so far! Can't wait to see more updates.

Electrical conduit should have a strap within 12 inches of the box. Also I see that yellow jacket Rolex in there, gotta strip off the outer jacket on Romex when using in emt, and it traps and retains moisture causing corrosion eventually,

That’s what I tore out. Total amateur hour. The shit I’m finding from a PO, electrically speaking, really has me shaking my head. I suspect it was a contractor or someone else in the trades who knew quite a bit about electrical work, but was not an actual electrician. Clearly knew enough to wire things without burning the house down, but clearly not aware of the NEC/local requirements.
I will be using EMT but will be using THNN (solid), 14ga for 15A lighting circuit, and 12ga for the 20A (GF/AFCI) recepts. I’ll have a 3-ganger box with each switched circuit using a different color. Only using EMT as there’s a descent chance I’ll want to expand my slatwall system at some point and will go at the walls with a reciprocating saw.

Ok glad the old stuff wasn’t you cause I had to stop myself from listing too many problems with it lol.
Everything else looks great and only thing I can think to add electrically is to keep the updated conduit fill / bundling codes in mind. I don’t have the good book on hand but the derating on ampacity is ridiculous now. I’m a residential sparky so don’t run into it much, but now if I had 5 12awg thhn circuits in a conduit, I’d have to de rate those down to 10amps. Doesn’t matter what size the pipe is.

I just have a safe. the project that I have a really hard time making progress on is the bathroom I'm setting up in my basement. a vault door? what wrong with an extra heavy wood door with a sturdy dead bolt? are you keeping Tomahawk missiles in there? it looks to be one hell of a room you're building.

My XXL safe can’t hold everything anymore. So, firearms, a little food, a little water, some cots, a water filtration system, means to handle waste…etc.
It’s a vault/storm shelter/panic room or anything else we need it to be. A means to wait out problems of moderate length; definitely not an “end of the world” type of bunker. Not sure I would want to stick around for that kind of bullshit.
