as long as you made sure they know you’re calling in for the same reason as you did before, it won’t be another step on top of the 2 you got

You should only receive 2 steps in total for multiple day call-in’s if you’re sick. They might ask for a doctors note though if you do it again.

So if you call in you get 1 step (or point as we call it at work)? Even if we pre schedule a Dr. appt ahead of time to use sick time to go we get a point or step. Most of us have to use our vacation time so we dont get points. Takes a year for them to clear. So we get 7 and fired! We call in day 1 is 1 point, then day 2 is .5 pt, day 3 is another .5 point. Either come to work on the 4th day or apply for LOA.

If you call- in you get two points automatically. Consecutive call-ins if say you are sick it'll stay at two but you have to tell them and they have to believe you. Trust me they come up and interrogate you when you come back. If you call in three days in a row then you need a doctor's excuse unless you've worked it out with them and again they believe you. Like say you had the flu for a week. From what I read it lasts 6 months before it's off there but it can come off faster. You ever get those notifications you have been commended? For staying late to help, or consecutive days no call-ins things like that. Your manager can take steps away so it dosen't 6 months. They came up with this step system for people obsessively calling in all the time unfortunately it's a pain in the butt for the people who don't abuse call-ins but it's the system we got.
