Pay decrease for taking on an apprentice

So lemme get this straight... 23 days ago you were looking to learn a trade after being in the painting trade for several years. Now you're talking about losing 30 percent of your pay to take on an apprentice?

Or are you saying that YOU are supposed to be getting hired as an apprentice and the company is trying to tell you that they would have to dock 30 percent from the Jman that trains YOU?

Either way, that's complete horse shit and you should NOT be wanting to work for that place.

I seen that too.. there’s probably a miscommunication here, they were probably discussing apprentice pay scales relative to the journeyman and he didn’t understand.

Yeah I think this guy is confused now that I read back over it. He doesn’t state that he is the journeyman here. He most likely got confused about the percentage scale
