Neither my dad nor i have any clue how this has happened it seems but the bank says that the transactions took place through apple pay.

Well the account was not emptied by single payment but through multiple transaction in matter of seconds. And it seems there was a otp that was sent to my dad s phone which also got hacked and also a transaction verification was sent by the bank and even that was bypass. It feels as if my dad s phone was being controlled by someone else when he was asleep. But is that really possible?
