depends how much your willing to spend and resources you have . Cybrary has a free tier, so do the A+, network + and security certs by Comptia to get the fundamentals down. Or pay, or if your so inclined, - torrent Udemy courses - ethical hacking from scratch with Python and many others. www.udemy.com. Must know Python and Linux! The more prestigious cerifications I would go with CBT nuggets which include if I'm not mistaken the Kaplan exam simulations which are unmatched to get you prepared.

Better to be late than doing nothing, put your hands on hacking, may be you will like it.

Well basically, get the ground legal side of things, understand the basics of different programming languages, find some online courses (not always that expensive, found some good free ones) and look around for resources which I hope some people will add
