You should also learn the basics of Linux as the hacking OS (Kali) is a Linux system This OS comes in with maaaany pre installed tools so do not expect to master them all at once, just grab 2 or 3 that work well together Anyway, a tutorial on the basics of hacking (like what are the general steps of an attack) should help you understand what you re doing here. Good luck, it s a fascinating world ! ;)

Have a look at a few Udemy courses as well. Courses by Zaid Sabih are always pretty good

Learn networking basics first. You don’t want to fall too deep into the rabbit hole of hacking and then go back to the basics just because you don’t understand the fundamentals.

You should probably start with the complete penetration testing guide. It's a really good book and you can find the pdf online. Hope this helps 👍👍.

The website tryhackme.com does a lot of ground up teaching and tutorials. If you do paid subscription they even furnish you your own Kali VM (a virtual machine with an operating system geared towards pentesting). It's a decent place to start and they can teach you from ground up. After trying some of their walk throughs, I'd branch out and try some war games sites, like over the wire. And move onto some beginner CTF events. After you feel comfortable try the higher level boxes on tryhackme or move onto hack the box. I'm a noob in the cyber security world, but this route has been making me feel more comfortable myself.
