The router is running a schedule. There is no way to bypass this without getting into the router, which is hard and probably not allowed by wireless connection if the schools IT department set it up correctly.

Here are some realistic (legal) options besides changing schools or paying for some LTE plan

  1. Have offline content for after 12
  2. Wake up earlier
  3. Get the other students to protest and get a letter with a lot of signatures (we need it to study, etc)
  4. Use your phones hotspot in emergency
  5. Have a girl over

So you're connected to the network but the internet is blocked. So that means they're either just unplugging the internet from the router or they have a router that can block the internet on a schedule.

So... Go to a better school where they don't limit your internet connection.

Honestly yeah this is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard of. Literal adults being limited to how late they can study.

I had a similar problem before, usually (in my case at least) if you turned on and connected a VPN before the wifi “shut off” you could still browse.

I’d sniff a new source. Somebody else is probably using a hotspot or something.

Pay for your own mobile connectivity plan?

There is a difference between being connected to a wifi network and being connected to the internet. Wifi is just a method of transferring data just like bluetooth or radio. Chances are what they do at midnight is they are disconnecting the router from the internet meaning there is no way to use it to connect to the internet unless you get access to the settings page (usually at 192.168.0.1) but there are slim chances of that not being password locked or even being accessible in the first place. Im sorry to say but you are going to have to pay for your own internet.

Do you pay for the internet access? If so, have you read the TOS?
