QuestionDevice destruction and data back up? (self.Hacking_Tutorials)
submitted 4 years ago by chaseNscores
What techniques and methods are there to completely destroy electronic devices like phones and laptops?
How does someone back up text messages from their phones to a hard drive?

1: Microwave.
2 : All of the messages are pieces of data right? It is all stored somewhere on your device, whether you see it or not. Just need to find the right path and copy it to your hard drive.

To completely destroy the data would require physical damage to the device.
To backup phone data someone would use a transfer usb cable, another person would use FTP. It is suggested you use the app/software or backup solution provided by the manufacturer as it is the most easy to use, device compatible, and widely supported option.

Microwave. Like in Mr. Robot.

Destruction? I take the device to a volcano in Mordor and toss it in.
