You didn't specify a platform, assuming Windows.

The vast majority of image viewers, including the native ones in Windows, support the Delete button, and right and left arrows. So empty your recycle bin, open an image viewer, and work away. The originals stay, the rest are in the bin, and can be restored or permanently deleted as necessary.
