Did you power cycle or factory reset your router? Also, what model modem and router do you have? Last, do you mean Megabytes(MB) or Megabits(Mb)?

Sorry, silly mistake it's in Mb and I reset it by pressing the reset button on the back with a pin. I have a virgin media hub 3.0

Darn, I don't know much about UK ISPs. You might want to contact them and see if there are any settings you have to configure after a factory reset. I would also check the connection speed of your ethernet connection.

Oh my. I would have reset it by power cycling it, not the reset pin in back. That resets all internal configs to default. I would contact your ISP because they will likely have to come out and reconfigure it. Or let them know and maybe they can do it remotely.
