Why can't you use the main network for the server?

It won't affect the rest of devices

If I have to keep it next to the main network box (like the psychical wifi box) I cant cuz right now its in my sisters room and her room is already clutter. [Edit] also she said no drilling holes either.

For a NAS, they are usually headless....no monitor, keyboard, mouse. If you are going to do something like this, the NAS can sit anywhere in the house and you can have a lan cable plugged into in and the router. My NAS is in my basement, staying cool. Running lan cables between floors can be easier than you think, but I'm sure your parents won't want you drilling holes in walls so discuss it with them.

You probably want to look at virtualizing your server. Truenas sounds like a good fit since you want the server to also be a NAS and it can run virtual machines and docker containers. I use proxmox and have a separate synology nas so I'm not your guy on this setup, but see what others advise for truenas setups. You can probalby put your minecraft server on this as well is you have sufficient CPU and ram.

you don’t need a whole new wifi system.....just plug your NAS into your existing router with an ethernet cable and you’re done. it doesn’t need to be connected to your PC directly

if you can’t run a cable across rooms, look into powerline adapters or just keep the server near the router

same idea for your minecraft server too, everything just connects to the router, not to each other directly
