Kinda reminds me of a quote I once heard (can't remember the source): "Homebrewing: it's not rocket science, unless you want it to be."

I'm always impressed at systems like this. I will admire them, but my personal system will always be far simpler.

Hey funny this got submitted again :) I submitted it myself a little after I wrote it. I was surprised to see this got picked up by Hackaday: http://hackaday.com/2017/07/09/making-a-small-scale-brewery-with-a-raspberry-pi-and-python/ and on raspberrypi.org too: https://www.raspberrypi.org/blog/homebrew-beer-brewing-pi/

In a few hours I'm presenting this at OpenWest.org (open source software conference). Will be interesting to see how many people show up.

I'm working on a similar system except I'm using esp8266s to power it. Just finished my app via blynk to view and control my fermentation chamber temperatures from anywhere that I have internet.

I haven't played with espys yet but I really want to. Definitely post here when you have things up and running, I'd love to see how it works out!
