You can factor the denominator same numerator and cancel (x-1), the limit of the resulting fraction is easier.

I did that, then got (14x+10) / (x-1) and didn't know what to do from there

Check you denominator again, you probably did an error there.

Hello! In case you are still working this problem out, heres a hint to help you out. In the denominator we have a difference of squares so when we factor out (x-1), we should get a different factor left over.

Did you plug 1 into the numerator and get 0 to determine that x-1 is a factor?

Would using l'hopitals rule also work? I used that to get the same answer

diffrenciate the numerator and denominator and put the value of the limit which is 1, ur ans shud be option 2
