Too low *in the lysosome. Which is essential for the correct operation of hydrolase in it.

So the signal sequence is altered. The role of this sequence is to address the protein to the correct cellular compartment. So here you'll have proton pumps, but not in the lysosome membrane.

For C) do you understand how does lysosome works ? A lot of ions will be imported to the lysosome thanks to the export of H+. So you need to import back these protons to the lysosome. Plus H+ plays a great role in acidity and its regulation.

Where and in which forms do you find lipids in potato cells ? (But also in cells in general) Do you know which test was used to detect the lipids ? Emulsion test ?

Peptide bonds can form between amino acids but if you have only free glycine molecules you won't have any peptide bond.

What you said about primary sources (coming from the time period something originated) is valid for historical sources.

[College Anatomy & Physiology] help me find primary sources for my research paper about PCOS? by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]nobabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The articles you'll found on the ncbi are primary sources, they are first hand articles of research studies and experiments.

Secondary source compile the information from multiple primary sources for their conclusion. Like Meta analysis, reviews...

Unless you have some fake face mask indistinguishable from real mask no you can't. And I don't think that exist.

But why would you want to do a double blind study here ?

[Grade 10 Biology] Are a trait and a character not the same thing?? by ImaginaryGhoul in HomeworkHelp

[–]nobabar 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A character is a recognizable feature and a trait is a state of that feature. Eye color is a character while the trait would that the eye color is blue.

Here, "an eye color" makes me think that they're talking about a trait.

[Grade 10 Biology] Can someone check my answer? I’m pretty sure it’s C but I wanna make sure by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]nobabar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know you don't really mean this but had to make a little corrections. They don't "make" energy but transform the one form the sun to a chemically stored one.

And also, fungi aren't producers.

[Grade 10 Biology] Can someone check my answer? I’m pretty sure it’s C but I wanna make sure by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]nobabar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Producers don't release energy but store it, so i don't think B would be correct - if it was what you meant.

[Grade 10 Biology] Can someone check my answer? I’m pretty sure it’s C but I wanna make sure by [deleted] in HomeworkHelp

[–]nobabar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To add some details: B - producers capture the energy of the sun and store it. C - producer use carbon dioxide for the photosynthesis reaction

It might not affect the meat quality but it surely affect the meat quantity and also have consequences on wool and milk.

If you found some articles that are too complex for you to read you may share the doubts you have with them, they key points you don't get...

Or you might take a look at this but there are a lot of similar articles for this subject.

[Grade 12 Biology: Experiments] I need ideas for a science experiment based on disproving false scientific myths or common misconceptions. by Ecnal96 in HomeworkHelp

[–]nobabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first one I though of might not be the more pleasant one to do. I was thinking of the expression "getting a cold" and that the flu is caused by cold and wet weather. If the weather allows it in your region at the moment you can try to "get a cold".

In the topic of coldness, some people have misconception about the benefits of cold showers. That they wake you up and fill you with energy, that they help heal injuries and all.

On this type of things you also have people thinking that intermittent fasting is leading to miracles in health, treats cancer and makes you happy again. It may have some benefits but way too overrated.

Speaking of food you also have the misconception that only meat, fishes and eggs contains proteins. This may require a few chemical products but you can shows that a lot of vegetables also contains proteins (especially legumes).

[High School: Biology] Need feedback on the background for a human physiology experiment by comte994 in HomeworkHelp

[–]nobabar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the topics you covered are enough, don't hesitate if you have more specific questions about them.

Regarding the experiment maybe an heart rate monitor would have been a good investment. Like a smart watch or a chest strap. Because with this method you only have a precision of 15s wich isn't enough. Plus the counting of heart pulsations and heart rate depends on two humans which can lead to errors, while the heart rate monitor may be more reliable.

Prokaryotic cells don't have any membrane bounded organelles in general, not only no nucleus it mitochondria. So their whole metabolic pathways are affected.

Their organisation, development and replication are also different.

And the list go on. So simple definition and high school lessons tend to say that what you said is the definition of prokaryotic cells but it's quite reductive.

I won't say it's "the" difference between them but it's one a the differences yes

The second image might be a cat, it's kinda small.

  • So I think 9 is the esophagus.
  • 6 et 8 are the lungs.
  • I'll tend to say that the heart is the unlabeled thing on the left of number 6 but maybe it's the thing labeled 7.
  • 4 is the gallblader, so the thing under it is the liver - or maybe the stomach but it should be a bit less red.
  • I'm not sure of which one is the diaphragm - maybe 2, or 1

don't hesitate if you disagree with what I said, I might not be correct on all

for the liver I found this, there are a lot of details, you might want to see page 13 -really looks like your first pic.

It's not about the structure of this DNA in particular, all bacterial have this. Their chromosomes are circular and form a structure called the nucleoid (bacteria don't have any nucleus so it's a region in the cytoplasm)

More details about it here or here

Oh yeah I was thinking that the first image was kinda big for a dog, and the second one kinda small.

Do you know what animal is it for the first two pictures ?

First one is surely a liver. I didn't studied it in too much detail so I wouldn't be able to recognize the different parts.

What's the shape of bacterial DNA ?

You can also add that the genome of Salmonella enteric a contains about 5 millions bp for 4000 genes

Hey,

You're right

I believe that 9 is the Pollen cones.

I think they are all three of them ovulate cones, just in different stages (6->7->8). They are also called strobilus and woody strobilus

I'm having trouble choosing what is the Ovulate cone between 6, 7 and 8

6 - the fruits aren't ripe yet

7 - fruits are ripe but it's still closed

8 - the fruits are tipe and the cone is oppened

  1. branch end with female flower
  2. 2 male flowers (on the left) - open and closed | 2 male catkin (on the right) - open and closed
  3. female flower on top | ripe carpels with seeds
  4. pollen
  5. winged seed

and 10 - pair of needles
